E VENT ROOF VENILATION SYSTEM

Western Australian-based metal fabrication company Combined
Metal Industries has introduced an environmentally-friendly
ventilation system which costs less than conventionally powered
competitors.
The E-VENT system provides a non-electrically powered, environmentally-friendly venting solution which uses convection currents to cool and clean a home's atmosphere. It is designed for installation on metal roofs to remove heat from roof space, help in early fire detection, manage condensation and remove odour and noxious gases.
The E-VENT system has no moveable parts so that unlike many ventilation systems it is quiet and maintenance free. It works efficiently even on still days because it does not require wind to help circulate air through the system.
The patented system includes an internal guard to protect against heavy rain, while providing enough space for venting air to disperse through the top of the E-VENT. E-VENT is manufactured to ISO 9002 Quality Assurance using ZINCALUME® steel and has been scientifically tested by the CSIRO. It is also available in COLORBOND® steel in a range of colours.
"The system costs less than more conventional ventilation systems and its lower profile makes it close to invisible from street level," said CMI's marketing manager for E-VENT, Kylie Elsegood-Smith. "It is designed to be easily installed."
Combined Metal Industries is currently developing an E-VENT selection disk which will enable architects and engineers to easily select the right size E-VENT for any industrial and commercial application.
Combined Metal Industries began as a small fabricator of metal
products in 1985. Since that time the company has grown to employ a
workforce of 80 people and manufacture a product line of over 1000
items, including roof sheeting, guttering and associated roof
finishings. CMI also custom-makes products to meet specialist
consumer demand. All of CMI's sheetmetal products are made from
ZINCALUME® steel and COLOURBOND® steel.
